1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Builtrex ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Builtrex provides AI-assisted electrical code lookup and calculation tools. The Service is intended as a reference aid and does not replace professional judgment or official code publications.
3. Advisory Nature
Builtrex is advisory only. All code interpretations should be verified with your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). While we strive for accuracy and offer a $100 bounty for citation errors, the Service is not a substitute for the official NEC publication or professional electrical advice.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
5. Subscription and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds are provided at our discretion.
6. Citation Bounty Program
The $100 citation bounty applies to verifiable errors where we cite a code section that does not exist in our verified code library. Interpretation disputes, formatting issues, and AHJ-specific variations do not qualify.
7. Citation Guarantee ($100 Promise)
What qualifies: We cite a code section that does not exist in the verified code library. What does NOT qualify: Interpretation disputes, jurisdiction-specific variations, advisory interpretation differences, AHJ-specific requirements.
8. Availability & Service
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service. You can check current status on our system status page.
9. Intellectual Property
Builtrex helps you find and understand code requirements, with citations to specific sections and pages. The NEC is published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). For the official code text, visit the publisher directly.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Builtrex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
